If your family is new to the district, you should have already received a packet from the Welcoming Committee - either in paper form or via an email from the TEMS main office. This packet contains various resources to help you adjust to the school and community. We would love to reach out to your family individually, but we need your permission to do so (by filling out the form in the packet).

New Family Coffees / Lunches

We have New Family Coffees / Lunches once per month so that people can connect with other newcomers as well as members of the Welcoming Committee. There is no official agenda. It's an informal way for us to get to know each other and to answer whatever questions you have. Each coffee date is planned about a month ahead of time and is posted on an ongoing basis in the left column of the TEMS PTO email blast.

Multilingual Speakers

If your primary language is a language other than English, many of the TEMS Welcoming Committee members are multilingual speakers and would love to speak with you in your native language. (Their contact information can be found in the Welcoming Committee packet referenced above.)

List of Helpful Websites

Parents of the Welcoming Committee created a list of school and PTO websites that they find to be especially valuable.

Volunteering for the Welcoming Committee

If you are interested in welcoming new families and you would like to volunteer to be a part of the Welcoming Committee, contact Maura Redmond.
