Cycle Day 4

We’ve officially reached the final week of school! Please note that Friday, June 12, will be a half day, with dismissal at 12:17 PM.

The TEMS PTO would like to wish all of our families a relaxing, safe, and joyful summer break. A special congratulations goes out to our 8th-grade families as your students reach this exciting milestone and prepare to graduate from TEMS. We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and look forward to seeing their continued success in high school. Thank you for being such an important part of our school community.

Looking ahead, the 2026–2027 school year will begin with the first full day of school on August 31, 2026. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the fall!

Enjoy your summer!

8th Grade Recognition Ceremony

Dear 8th Grade Parents and Guardians,

We are excited to celebrate the completion of your student’s middle school years at TEMS! You are warmly invited to attend the 8th Grade Recognition Ceremony on Thursday, June 11 at 9:00 AM.

The ceremony will be held outdoors at Conestoga’s Sports Stadium, Teamer Field. Parking will be available on the TEMS athletic fields beginning at 8:00 AM. Following the ceremony, students may be dismissed to go home with a parent or guardian.

In the event of rain or inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved indoors to the large gym. Due to space limitations in the gym, each student will be allowed two guests to accompany them in the Large Gym. The ceremony will also be live-streamed in the TEMS auditorium for additional invited guests to view.

Volunteers Needed for Recognition Ceremony

Each year the 8th grade Recognition Committee asks for volunteers to help at the 8th grade recognition ceremony.  Please help us pass out pretzels, water and a small gift to the soon to be 9th grade students.  This allows the 8th grade parents to enjoy the ceremony.

BONUS: Get a sneak peak at what to expect at the ceremony.  This is especially helpful if you have a rising 8th grader next school year.

Thank you!

Donations Needed for Teacher & Staff Luncheon

The TEMS PTO will be providing the awesome TEMS Teachers & Staff a delicious catered lunch for their celebratory end of the school year luncheon on Tuesday, June 16th.

We would greatly appreciate your help in providing supplementary items as listed in the signup below. Let's show the TEMS Teachers & Staff how much we appreciate them with a fabulous lunch!

Please note the luncheon is on Tuesday, June 16th. Please have any non-perishable items (chips/drinks) dropped off at the school by Friday, June 12th and any perishable items (cookies/cupcakes/fruit) can be dropped off no later than 10am at the school on Tuesday morning. A Note from the Nurse

Friendly reminders:

For any medication (daily, inhalers, epi pens, as needed, etc..) you brought in for your student this year, medication pickup will be June 9 through June 12. Any medications remaining after June 12th will be disposed of as per school district policy. Please set an alarm or reminder in your phone to come get your student’s meds.

Parents of 7th graders in the fall of 2026:

PA school health law requires that all students MUST have the following vaccinations PRIOR to the first day of 7th grade or risk exclusion:

  • 1 dose of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap)
  • 1 dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV)

If your student has NOT had these vaccinations but is not due for a well visit over the summer, please call your health care providers office ASAP & request a nurse visit specifically for immunizations. These appointments are typically quicker to schedule & are often at no added cost to you. Other options to obtain these vaccinations include the Chester County Health Department Immunization Clinic, many area Urgent Care locations, or clinics within pharmacies. Please call ahead to make sure the needed vaccine serum is available prior to going.

Additionally, a dental examination is also state required for 7th grade. Dental examinations must be done within one year. Forms to be completed by your family dentist can be found on the TESD website under Student Health Services then loaded into the Power School parent portal under forms. Please see information below about the Children's Dental Clinic should you need a provider.

Parents of 6th graders in the fall of 2026:

PA school health law states that children entering 6th grade must have a physical examination completed within one year & on file in the nurse’s office. Please make appointments ASAP. If your student is age 11 or older, please request that MCV & Tdap vaccinations be given at that appointment. Forms to be completed by your health care practitioner can be found on the TESD website under Student Health Services.

All health information for students should be loaded to Power School via the parent portal. Look for the heading “Forms” on the left-hand side.  If you are unable to load your report into Power School, it can be sent via email to coaryl@tesd.net. I will be checking my email throughout the summer.

Thank you for your help in getting all the required health information to the nurse in a timely fashion.

Thanks-

Leigh Ann
