School Board Approves Redistricting Parameters in Preparation for Bear Hill Elementary School Opening

School Board Approves Redistricting Parameters in Preparation for Bear Hill Elementary School Opening

At its February 23, 2026 Regular School Board meeting, the Tredyffrin/Easttown School Board approved the redistricting parameters that will guide the District’s elementary redistricting process in preparation for the opening of Bear Hill Elementary School in August 2027.

An Ad Hoc Redistricting Committee has been meeting since May 2025 to develop the framework for the redistricting work. The Committee’s charge was to establish the parameters for redistricting and to define the process and criteria for selecting a Redistricting Steering Committee to develop a proposed redistricting plan.

The Committee recommends a proportional redistricting model based on available classroom space at each elementary school. This model supports long-term stability and, importantly, preserves current middle school attendance boundaries, ensuring students already assigned to T/E Middle or Valley Forge Middle remain on those paths even if elementary boundaries change.

As part of these adjustments:

  • T/E Middle School will serve students from Beaumont, Devon, and all of Hillside
  • Valley Forge Middle School will serve students from Valley Forge, New Eagle, and Bear Hill

The District encourages families and community members to stay engaged as this work continues. Updates, timelines, and participation details will be shared through the District website, weekly TESD e-newsletters, and other established communication channels.

Visit the Redistricting webpage on the TESD website for additional information.

Leave Your Mark! TEMS PTO Ceiling Tile Fundraiser

Would you like to leave your permanent mark on our school AND support the TEMS PTO?

For our first ceiling tile fundraiser, families are invited to paint ceiling tiles for display in the auditorium hallway! This is a way to positively freshen up the school, as well as raise funds to support the PTO's cultural arts programming, student activities, teacher requests and more.

How it works
Families will purchase a ceiling tile kit to take home and paint. Each kit contains a 24" square ceiling tile and a set of paints. Please return the painted tile by the date specified. Artwork guidelines can be found at the link below.

Ceiling Tile Kit: $50 each

Important Dates

  • Order your ceiling tile kit using the link below from February 25 - March 20, 2026.
  • Pick up kits in the school parking lot the week of March 23, 2026 (time TBD)
  • Return your painted tile to school by Friday, April 17, 2026

A Note From the Nurse

Here at TEMS we have noticed an increase in the number of students bringing energy drinks into school with their lunch or drinking them as they are arriving at school. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) advises that children and teens should not consume energy drinks ever because they contain high levels of caffeine and stimulants that can cause anxiety, sleep problems, increased heart rate, and other health concerns. These drinks often have more caffeine than an espresso and large amounts of sugar, which can contribute to unhealthy weight gain, cavities, and other long‑term health issues.

For our students' safety, please do not send these drinks in with your student to school. Please encourage your child to choose healthier options like water to stay hydrated throughout the day.

5th & 6th Grade Bowling Social - Friday!

Friday, March 6, 1–2:30 p.m.  Devon Lanes

The TEMS PTO invites all 5th and 6th graders to a Bowling Social on Friday, March 6, 1 pm to 2:30 pm, at Devon Lanes!

The $25 admission ticket includes bowling, pizza, water, and a snack.  This event is held on a regularly-scheduled half day for parent-teacher conferences, and it is a drop off event for students.  Tickets will be limited to only 144 students so everyone has an opportunity to bowl. Tickets are on sale now and must be pre-purchased here.   Tickets will not be sold at the door.

Volunteers are also needed to help serve pizza, check students in, supervise students, etc.
