Attention 8th Grade Parents - Baby Pictures Due Friday!

Send in your baby photos!

As we approach the 8th Grade Recognition Ceremony, your help is needed to create a Photo Memory Wall for the kids in the school cafeteria.

The goal is to collect two pictures from all current 8th graders.  If you choose to participate, here is what is needed:

• Please send in 1 baby picture and 1 current picture of your student by Friday, May 22!

• Please submit a hard copy of each photo TRIMMED to 3”x5" in size.

*Clothing in pictures should be school appropriate please (no bathing suit/baby in tub pics)

*Consider consulting with your teenager about the pictures you choose, we don’t want any students to be embarrassed and this is always a fun time for the students to check out the memory wall during lunch.

Note: Pictures may need to be cropped to fit the display.

Please write your student’s full name on the back of each picture.

Pictures can be printed at CVS, Walmart, Walgreens. Might I suggest getting 4x6 than trimmed to size, as this size is usually same day/1hr printing service.

All pictures are to be submitted to the school office in an envelope marked Attn: 8th Grade Memory Wall

*If you would like your pictures back at the end of the school year, please mark the back of the picture with the word return or R.  You may come in the week of June 15th to retrieve your pictures.

Memory wall will be installed the week of May 25.

A Note from the Nurse

Friendly reminders:

For any medication (daily, inhalers, epi pens, as needed, etc..) you brought in for your student this year, medication pickup will be June 9 through June 12. Any medications remaining after June 12th will be disposed of as per school district policy. Please set an alarm or reminder in your phone to come get your student’s meds.

Parents of 7th graders in the fall of 2026:

PA school health law requires that all students MUST have the following vaccinations PRIOR to the first day of 7th grade or risk exclusion:

  • 1 dose of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap)
  • 1 dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV)

If your student has NOT had these vaccinations but is not due for a well visit over the summer, please call your health care providers office ASAP & request a nurse visit specifically for immunizations. These appointments are typically quicker to schedule & are often at no added cost to you. Other options to obtain these vaccinations include the Chester County Health Department Immunization Clinic, many area Urgent Care locations, or clinics within pharmacies. Please call ahead to make sure the needed vaccine serum is available prior to going.

Additionally, a dental examination is also state required for 7th grade. Dental examinations must be done within one year. Forms to be completed by your family dentist can be found on the TESD website under Student Health Services then loaded into the Power School parent portal under forms. Please see information below about the Children's Dental Clinic should you need a provider.

Parents of 6th graders in the fall of 2026:

PA school health law states that children entering 6th grade must have a physical examination completed within one year & on file in the nurse’s office. Please make appointments ASAP. If your student is age 11 or older, please request that MCV & Tdap vaccinations be given at that appointment. Forms to be completed by your health care practitioner can be found on the TESD website under Student Health Services.

All health information for students should be loaded to Power School via the parent portal. Look for the heading “Forms” on the left-hand side.  If you are unable to load your report into Power School, it can be sent via email to coaryl@tesd.net. I will be checking my email throughout the summer.

Thank you for your help in getting all the required health information to the nurse in a timely fashion.

Thanks-

Leigh Ann
