Ad Hoc Redistricting Committee

Community members are invited to attend the October 28, 2025 meeting of the Ad Hoc Redistricting Committee at 7:00 pm in the Tredyffrin/Easttown Administration Offices (TEAO).

The opening of Bear Hill Elementary School in August 2027 marks a historic milestone for our District, as it is the first new school in over 50 years. To ensure a smooth transition and equally distributed enrollment across all elementary schools, the Ad Hoc Redistricting Committee has launched a comprehensive review of attendance boundaries. Building on the successful 2018 redistricting process, which prioritized broad representation and expert guidance, the Committee is resolved to a process that values community involvement and transparency. At the October 28 meeting, TESD will share updates on the redistricting timeline, discuss key parameters, and invite feedback as we shape the future of our schools together.

Michelle Knudsen Author Visit

We are thrilled to announce that New York Times bestselling author Michelle Knudsen will visit the 5th and 6th Grade students on November 20th.

Michelle has written more than fifty books for young readers of all ages, including the award-winning picture book Library Lion (one of Time magazine's 100 Best Children's Books of All Time). Her novels include The Dragon of Trelian (VOYA Top Shelf Fiction for Middle School Readers) and Evil Librarian (YALSA Best Fiction for Young Adults; Sid Fleischman Humor Award).

Michelle will speak about her newest book, a middle grade fantasy novel Into the Wild Magic, which was just released in August 2025. Into the Wild Magic is about adolescence—navigating friendship and trust, owning your gifts, and becoming the hero of your own story.

All orders placed by November 12 will be signed by the author and personalized.

Halloween Costume Guidelines

Students may choose whether or not to wear a costume to school on October 31st. If your student decides to wear a costume, it must follow these guidelines:

  1. No weapons or imitation weapons.
  2. No face paint that makes a student unrecognizable.
  3. No costume helmets or masks that cannot quickly and easily be removed.  We need to be able to identify all students.
  4. All costumes should be appropriate for all students in our building, grades 5 – 8. They should not be gory, too frightening, revealing, inappropriate, controversial, offensive, or disparaging to any individual or group.
