An important role of TESD Mental Health Specialists is helping families connect with community resources during times of need. To support this effort, our Mental Health Team has created an online Community Assistance Request Form for TESD families experiencing hardship.
If you or your children are at risk of losing housing, facing food insecurity, dealing with utility shut-offs, or navigating a life event that has significantly impacted your family’s finances, community support may be available.
You are not alone. According to Feeding America, the percentage of Chester County residents experiencing food insecurity rose from 6.3% in 2019 to 9.2% in 2023, representing approximately 50,000 individuals. Locally, results from the Pennsylvania Youth Survey (PAYS) show that the percentage of T/E 12th graders who reported skipping a meal due to food insecurity increased from 1.6% in 2019 to 6.1% in 2023.
To request assistance or learn how you can help, please use our Community Assistance Request Form. After submitting the form, a member of our team will contact you. If you’re interested in supporting families in need, we’ve also included information on the form on how to get involved.
