Attention 8th Grade Parents!

Photo Memory Wall

As we approach the 8th Grade Recognition Ceremony, we need your help to create a ‘Photo Memory Wall’ for the kids in the school cafeteria.

The goal is to collect two pictures from all current 8th graders.  If you choose to participate, here is what is needed:

  • Please send in 1 baby picture and 1 current picture of your student by Friday, May 23, 2025.
  • Please submit a hard copy of each photo - 4” x 4” in size (please cut your photo to this dimension).

(Note: Pictures may need to be cropped to fit the display.)

Please write your students full name on the back of each picture.

All pictures are to be submitted to the school office in an envelope marked Attn: 8th Grade Memory Wall.

*If you would like your picture back at the end of the school year, please remove it from the bulletin board in the cafeteria on the last day of school, or you may come in the week of June 16, 2025

Nurses Note

If you sent any medication in for your student this year, medication pickup will be June 9th through June 12th. Any medications remaining after June 13th will be disposed of as per school district policy. Please set an alarm or reminder in your phone to come get your student’s meds.

Friendly reminders:

Parents of 7th graders in the fall of 2025:

PA school health law requires that all students MUST have the following vaccinations PRIOR to the first day of 7th grade or risk exclusion:

  • 1 dose of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap)
  • 1 dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV)

If your student has NOT had these vaccinations but is not due for a well visit, please call your health care providers office ASAP & request a nurse visit specifically for immunizations. These appointments are typically quicker to schedule & are often at no added cost to you. Other options to obtain these vaccinations include the Chester County Health Department Immunization Clinic, many area Urgent Care locations, or clinics within pharmacies. Please call ahead to make sure the needed vaccine serum is available prior to going.

Additionally, a dental examination is also state required for 7th grade. Dental examinations must be done within one year. Forms to be completed by your family dentist can be found on the TESD website under Student Health Services then loaded into the Power School parent portal under forms.

Parents of 6th graders in the fall of 2025:

PA school health law states that children entering 6th grade must have a physical examination completed within one year & on file in the nurse’s office. Please make appointments ASAP. If your student is age 11 or older, please request that MCV & Tdap vaccinations be given at that appointment. Forms to be completed by your health care practitioner can be found on the TESD website under Student Health Services.

All health information for students should be loaded to Power School via the parent portal. Look for the heading “Forms” on the left-hand side.  If you are unable to load your report into Power School, it can be sent via email to coaryl@tesd.net.

Thank you for your help in getting all required health information to the nurse in a timely fashion.

From May 1 to May 21, T&E Care is running its annual School Supply Drive, and we need your support to make it a success! Instead of collecting physical supplies, we're once again asking families, businesses, and community organizations to contribute financial donations.

Your donation — no matter the amount — will go directly toward purchasing exactly what our local students need to prepare for the year ahead. This approach allows us to buy in bulk, reduce waste, and ensure every student receives consistent, high-quality supplies.

Please visit https://www.tecare.org/events/school-supply-drive/ for more information.
