PTO By-Laws

Dear TEMS Families,

As a nonprofit organization, the TEMS PTO follows a set of by-laws that guide our work and are reviewed every few years. Earlier in February, we shared the proposed updates with you for review and feedback. During our February PTO meeting, these updates were officially approved.

You can access the latest approved by-laws by following this LINK

A big thank you to all our members who contributed to this process—we appreciate your support!

Best regards,

TEMS PTO

TEMS presents Mary Poppins Jr.

Come support our talented TEMS students as they bring Mary Poppins Jr. to life on stage! They’ve been working incredibly hard to put on a fantastic performance, and we’d love to see parents and families in the audience. All ticket sales directly support the TEMS All-School Musical, helping to keep the magic of theater alive for our students. Don’t miss this wonderful show!

SPRING SPORTS

Spring sports at TEMS begin in March! All 7th/8th grade students wanting to participate in softball, baseball, lacrosse, or track & field should have all paperwork completed in PowerSchool before the first day of practice or tryouts. Instructions for completing the paperwork are located here: Athletics / Participation paperwork and injury information. All season schedules can be found here: Tredyffrin/Easttown Middle School - Official Athletics Site.

If you have any questions, please contact the athletic office at sarvasm@tesd.net or 610-240-1204.

Interest meeting have started so be sure to check Schoology and morning notifications for any updates.

Welcoming Committee Coffee

We warmly invite you to join the Welcoming Committee for coffee on Friday, March 14th, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Panera in Gateway Shopping Center (289 E. Swedesford Road, Wayne).

There is no set agenda, and both newcomers and veteran TEMS parents are welcome to drop in at any time to connect with other parents and share ideas.

Please email Karen at karenzamperini@gmail.com or Deepti at deepti_mails@yahoo.com if you have any questions or to RSVP.

TEMS School Store

Big news! The TEMS School Store is reopening with a brand-new mobile cart in the Cafeteria during 5th and 6th grade lunches on Tuesdays and Thursdays! We’ll keep an eye on things and adjust as needed, but we can’t wait to get started!

The store is cash only, with items ranging from $0.50 to $3.00. Available products include fun school supplies (pencils, erasers, earbuds, pencil lead, sharpeners, etc.) and small trinkets (fidgets, locker magnets, scented putty, etc.). Please remind your students that shoppers are required to form a single file line at the cart if they wish to shop.

Parent Volunteers Needed!
The store relies on parent volunteers to operate from 11:45 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Volunteers are responsible for setting up the cart, selling items, handling cash, and storing the cart back. The store can only open when at least one or two parents sign up.
Don’t miss this chance to see your kids in action during lunch while making a difference for the TEMS PTO—sign up today!

Volunteers must have TESD background clearances. Click HERE for more information.

Thank you for supporting the TEMS School Store!

CARE (Child Assistance Resources & Education)

If your child is having any trouble either in school or at home, our CARE (Child Assistance Resources & Education) team is here to help. The CARE team consists of a principal, counselors, nurse, school psychologist, mental health specialist, classroom teachers and community agency staff.  The team works to identify issues which pose a barrier to a students’ learning and school success.  If you or someone else notices your student is struggling in an academic, behavior, or social-emotional area of development, you can ask the CARE team to help.

Teachers, parents and students who observe concerning behavior in a student are encouraged to reach out to a CARE team member and submit a referral. Referrals can also be made using this link.  All referrals are confidential and once one has been made, the team will work together to gather information, consult with the parent and student and make recommendations for additional support.
