Dear TEMS Families,
As the PTO Fundraising Committee, we work with the PTO to enrich the educational experience of every child and family at TEMS and to support the school staff and administration in planning events and programs that enhance the TEMS curriculum. Now that we are a full month into the school year, it’s the perfect time to share our fundraising strategy and exciting upcoming FUNdraising opportunities!
Where Do PTO Funds Go?
Last year, a significant portion of the funds raised went toward our Cultural Arts Program (~39%), Teacher Appreciation (~16%), Direct donation to school to offset field trip costs(~31%) and the 8th Grade Graduation (~6%).
The Cultural Arts Program the PTO brought to the school last year received overwhelmingly positive feedback from students and staff, including the Da Vinci Science “Use the Force” Assembly and the Alyson Gerber book author visit.
And we are excited to continue enhancing this year:
With your help, your kids will have the incredible opportunity to be exposed to various enriching programs, including Greek mythology, African drumming, a Native American cultural experience, an author visit, and a unique Holocaust program - all of which they wouldn’t experience otherwise.
