Here’s updated school year's holidays and half-days.

As of now, June 12th, 2025, is the last day of school, and it’s a half-day. But keep in mind, this could change if we get snow days or any unexpected days off.

Health Screening - Volunteers needed!

Health Screenings for all TEMS students will be held on Sept. 10th & 11th. 5th & 6th Grades will be screened on Tuesday, Sept. 10th, and 7th & 8th Grades on Wednesday, Sept. 11th.

We need parent volunteers to assist with tasks like checking height, weight, and recording results. Full instructions will be provided on-site. There are two volunteer shifts each day (8:20-10:00am and 10:00-11:30am).  The first shift needs to report to the TEMS library by 8:20am promptly as the screenings start at 8:30am.

All volunteers are required to check in at the main office to get a visitor badge prior to reporting for their shift. Volunteer clearances are NOT required for this event.

7th and 8th Grade Fall Sports

Fall sports interest meetings will be starting next week!

Please remind your 7th and 8th graders to regularly check Schoology and listen closely to morning announcements for updates on fall sports schedules and sign-ups.

Below are the upcoming interest meetings based on this week’s announcements:

  • 8th Grade Boys Soccer: Tuesday, Sep. 3rd in the LGR during Activity.
  • Football: Tuesday, Sep. 10th in the LGR from 3:20 - 3:45 PM.
  • Running Club: Friday, Sep. 6th after school in Room 204.

Additional interest meetings are still being scheduled so keep monitoring Schoology!

Paperwork for 7th and 8th graders interested in participating in fall sports at TEMS is available on the Powerschool Parent Portal. For further instructions, visit the TEMS Athletics page: Athletics / Participation paperwork and injury information (tesd.net).

All 7th and 8th graders who want to play sports for TEMS this year and have not taken an ImPACT test should come to the cafeteria after school on Wednesday, Sep. 4th, with a fully charged laptop.

For additional information, please visit the TEMS Athletics page  and watch this helpful video by the Athletic Director on how to get started with TEMS Athletics.

School activities and clubs

Morning gym will begin next week in the small gym before school, running from 7:45 to 8:20 AM. Further details were shared with students via morning announcements through iTEMS videos and posted on Schoology. Parents can access the text of these videos on TEMS school website by clicking on iTEMS menu on the left. The iTEMS morning announcements page is a valuable resource for both students and families. Please note that the link to this page is also included in the Quick Links section at the bottom of each Sunday blast, labeled as 'iTEMS.'

Additionally, for after-school clubs keep checking the TEMS Clubs and Activities page for latest information and updates.  This page will be updated with any clubs that become active throughout the school year and announcements will be made in the morning announcements. Permission slips for the clubs are available on the same page.

Welcoming Committee Meeting

If you're new to the district, we warmly invite you to join the TEMS Welcoming Committee on Friday, September 6th, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Johnson Park, 122 Bridge Ave, Berwyn. There’s no formal agenda—feel free to drop by at any time and stay as long as you like! This is a great chance to meet experienced district parents and connect with other new families.
