PTO Meet and Greet

The Tredyffrin-Easttown Middle School (TEMS) PTO would like to extend a warm welcome to families who will be joining the TEMS community for the first time next fall, as well as any veteran families with rising 5th-graders. The PTO will be holding a 'meet and greet' meeting and we would love for you to join us!

All parents and caregivers with students in any grade who are interested in learning more about our organization are invited to attend our meet and greet meeting on Thursday, April 18th, at 9:30 am. Visitors can check in at the school’s front office, and the office staff will help direct you to our meeting location

That morning, we will hold a brief meeting to give a window into our organization's operation, and then allow time for mixing and chatting over coffee. We do expect vacancies in some PTO positions next year and we would love to gauge interest and begin to welcome you into the TEMS community. This will be a great preview for future TEMS parents/caregivers and will help the current PTO plan for the coming school year.

Please note that this invitation is not for the TEMS Grade 4 Parent Orientation meeting held by the school. That TESD-hosted event is separate and will be held on May 21st from 7:00-8:30 pm. More information will be forthcoming on that presentation directly from the school.

We look forward to seeing many of you on April 18th!

PSSA Testing

The Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) consists of standardized tests administered to public school students in Pennsylvania. This year, testing at TEMS will occur on the following dates:

  • April 24th to April 26th: English Language Arts
  • April 30th to May 1st: Math
  • May 2nd to May 3rd: Science (Grade 8 only)

On March 21st, parents received an email from the school containing additional details. If you did not receive this email or if you have any questions about the testing schedule or process, please email Assistant Principal Orlando Carvajal at carvajalo@tesd.net.

Welcoming Committee Meeting

The PTO Welcoming Committee is dedicated to welcoming newcomers to TEMS and assisting with any questions they may have. The committee meets once a month, providing an opportunity for newcomers to connect with each other and with our committee members. Parents and caregivers can drop in for any portion of the meeting to connect with fellow parents and share ideas.

Our upcoming April meeting will take place on Saturday, April 6th, from 3:30 to 5:30 PM at a family home in Devon. Please email Karen at karenzamperini@gmail.com to RSVP and receive further details.
