Picture Retakes - Please return the old picture booklets

If you had purchased a booklet for Picture Day and your child got their picture retaken on 10/24, please make sure that they return the original booklet to the front office at the earliest. The new booklet with the latest pictures will not be issued until the old one has been returned back.

Change to 2023-2024 School Year Calendar

At its October 23, 2023 regular meeting, the School Board approved a change to the current school year calendar.

The staff inservice day originally scheduled for May 14, 2024 has been moved to April 23, 2024 to align with Pennsylvania’s primary election day. Since this is an inservice day, there will be no school for students on April 23, 2024. Students will report to school as usual on May 14, 2024. We encourage all TESD families to make note of this calendar change, and we will send a reminder as the date gets closer.

In addition, the Board approved the 2024-2025 school year calendar at its October 23rd meeting. Links to summaries of both calendars are available below:

The Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences at T/E Middle School will be held on Tuesday, November 21^st (1:15 – 3:10 pm) and Monday, November 27^th (12:00 – 7:35 pm). You should have received an email with full details. Parents will have the opportunity to schedule a conference with one “Core” teacher per child with online scheduling through PowerSchool Parent Portal.

Please note that the link for conference scheduling will only be available Wednesday, November 1^st (beginning at 10:00 AM) through Wednesday, November 8^th (ending at 11:55 PM)

Please test your login to PowerSchool prior to the scheduling window to ensure that you can log-in, and email familyhelpdesk@tesd.net if you are having trouble accessing the system.

Winter Sports

Winter Sports PIAA paperwork is now available on PowerSchool Parent Portal.

Instructions for completing the forms are available here: Athletics / Participation paperwork and injury information (tesd.net). Boys basketball tryouts will take place November 14, 15, and 16 and girls basketball tryouts are on November 28, 29, and 30. Wrestling practice will begin November 28. Halloween Costume Guidelines

Have fun expressing your Halloween spirit through imaginative and innovative costumes while respecting the costume guidelines.

Stock the Pantry

Please join us in thanking our amazing teachers and staff by contributing to our "Stock the Pantry" event! We are stocking the teachers' lounge with treats and snacks in preparation for their busy week of fall conferences. Click on the Amazon wishlist to quickly and easily send a package of goodies that will be dropped off to the staff for the start of conferences.

Please plan to order in time for items to be received by Becky Ormsbee on or before 11/19. Becky will ensure the items get to the teachers’ lounge on 11/20 in time for the start of conferences. Joe Corbi's gourmet pizza and desserts! You'll be able to stock up on delicious pizza kits, cookie dough, gourmet desserts, and snacks that will be delivered just in time for holiday entertaining.

Brochures will be sent home this week and we will send out all the information and instructions by email as well.
