Congratulations to our 8th-grade students on completing middle school! We wish you all the best as you embark on the next step of your educational journey.

Its last week of school and here are rest of the dates in June to remember:

  • June 10th: Grades 7/8 Battle of the Bulldogs 
  • June 11th: Grades 5/6 Bulldog Bash, Grade 7 Arrowhead Camp Trip, Grade 8 Recognition Ceremony 
  • June 12th: Grade 8 Recognition Ceremony rain date, Half Day and Last Day of School

First full day of the 2024 -2025 school year for students is Aug 26th, 2024!

PTO Hosts End-Of-Year Luncheon for TEMS Teachers and Staff

The TEMS PTO is thrilled to provide a delicious, celebratory luncheon for our incredible TEMS teachers and staff members on their final in-service day of the school year, Friday, June 14th. The event will be primarily catered by Bomba Taco, but we could use help with some supplemental items for the luncheon. Please check out the SignUp Genius below and pick a slot if you can provide drinks, a salad or a dessert!

Summer Reading

Summer reading information is now available! Click here to access full list.

A collection of e-books and audiobooks is available in the TEMS virtual library, MackinVIA. All summer long, students can use their school login credentials to access more than 2,500 e-books and audiobooks, including some of the summer reading books.

Note from Nurses office

End of the year med pickup will occur the week of June 10th. Per State guidelines & TESD policy & regulation, any medication not picked up by Noon Friday, June 14th will be disposed of. Medications forms for the 2024-2025 school year must be dated July 1st or after & can be uploaded to Power School after that date or handed to nurse during medication drop off. Nurse Coary will be available starting at noon on August 20 for drop off of daily, as needed & emergency meds in the TEMS nurse’s office. 

Additionally, if you have the health forms for 7th grade immunizations, 6th grade physical exams, & 7th grade dentals those can be loaded onto Power School parents portal at anytime starting now into & including through the next school year. 

As a reminder 

-For incoming grade 6: Physical exams within one year are required per PA School Health Code.

-For incoming grade 7: students MUST submit documentation of MCV or Tdap PRIOR to the first day of school or risk exclusion. This is per state requirements. 

-Additionally, students in 7th grade must have a dental exam within one year as required per PE School Health Code.

CARE Team

If your child is having any trouble either in school or at home, our CARE team is here to help. The CARE team consists of a school principal, counselors, the school mental health specialist, classroom teachers and community agency staff.  The team works to identify issues which pose a barrier to a students’ learning and school success and support possible struggles in an academic, behavior, or social-emotional area of development.  Teachers, parents and students who observe concerning behavior in a student are encouraged to reach out to a CARE team member and submit a referral All referrals are confidential and once one has been made, the team will work together to gather information, consult with the parent and student and make recommendations for additional support.
