Volunteering at the school store is a great opportunity to see middle school kids in action and help the PTO. Background clearance is needed for volunteering for the school store. TEMS Green Team

Did you know that we have a "Green Team" that collaborates with other schools in TESD? Each of us can make a difference by reducing, reusing, and recycling materials throughout our communities and encouraging our neighbors (and our kids) to do the same.  The TEMS Green Team offers the following eco-friendly recycling options:

Letter to Parents from the Nurse's office

Dear Parents,

We hope this message finds you well. We would like to share some important reminders regarding your child's health and wellbeing during the school day:

If your student reaches out to you during school hours via email or text – despite TEMS policy on phone usage – please instruct them to visit the nurse's office. Nurses will contact you if your student truly needs to go home. Please refrain from picking them up based solely on a text. We can treat a headache or get to the underlying reason behind why they want to go leave and often find that it is not always due to illness. Feel free to call the nurse’s office to inquire about your students if you are worried about them. We are happy to call them down to check on them.

 Additionally here are some reminders

  • Encourage daily hydration by sending your student to school with a refillable water bottle.
  • Promote the habit of eating breakfast, or suggest they bring a granola bar or snack for later in the morning if they're not hungry before leaving home.
  • For 6th grade families: Submit your student’s most recent physical exam and immunizations to Power School, email them to coaryl@tesd.net, or send them in to school as soon as possible.
  • For 7th grade families: Share your student’s latest dental exam results through Power School, email them to lallym@tesd.net, or submit them to the school directly.
  • If your child has a life-threatening allergy, ensure that their most recent allergy plan is available on Power School, emailed to us, or submitted in person ASAP. When providing Epipens or inhalers, please include current doctor’s orders as required by our allergist. *Please note that no medications can be accepted without accompanying doctor orders*

Feel free to contact the nurse's office if you have any concerns or questions regarding your child's wellbeing at school.

Sincerely,

Leigh Ann Coary, M.Ed, RN, CSN
